I've photographed 33 properties in Woodland Park.
Woodland Park is one of the places I shoot most. Homes here sit among ponderosa pines at about 8,500 feet, and much of what buyers are paying for is the setting: the trees, the light and the view toward Pikes Peak.
I photograph everything from in-town homes near Highway 24 to cabins on long dirt driveways. Aerials usually carry these listings, because from the ground you can't show the house, the lot and the mountains in one frame.

Shooting in Woodland Park
- Every home I've photographed in Woodland Park has been in uncontrolled (Class G) airspace, so the drone flies without FAA authorization. I still check for temporary flight restrictions, like wildfire closures, on the day of the shoot.
- Summer afternoons in the mountains cloud over fast. I book exteriors and aerials for the clearest part of the day and watch the cloud ceiling, because low cloud hides the peaks.
- Woodland Park often keeps snow after Colorado Springs has melted. Clear the driveway, walks and deck before the shoot if you can, so the exteriors show the home and not the weather.
