Fountain is just south of Colorado Springs along I-25, next to Fort Carson. Most of what I shoot here is family homes and townhomes in newer neighborhoods, with Cheyenne Mountain and the Front Range to the west.

Fountain is also the one town in my area where the drone almost always needs paperwork, which is worth knowing before you book aerials.

Shooting in Fountain

Much of Fountain sits inside the controlled airspace around Butts Army Airfield on Fort Carson. Every Fountain home I've photographed needed FAA authorization for the drone. I request it through LAANC before the shoot.
A few spots have a zero-foot limit and need the FAA's slower DroneZone approval. Book drone work early, and I'll tell you right away if your address is one of them.
